love doing life together and as family. Married for 30 years, they have 3 birth children all in their 20’s, & are also foster carers – with a teen who has joined their ‘forever family’, & various other younger children (as well as adults) who become part of their lively household for extended seasons.
They have a 35 year journey of adventures in encouraging new expressions of leadership development & church community in the wild, wacky & varied worlds of contemporary culture: in Brixton, London; then with St Andrews, Chorleywood (founders of New Wine & Soul Survivor); and then most significantly at St Thomas', Sheffield where they saw the church grow to 2000 of mainly under 40’s. They then spent 3½ years in the USA; & are now in the west country in the UK, for 9 years based with severnvineyard.org , and for the last 3 walking a ‘tightrope of transition’.
Mal’s work time is focused as a Leadership Coach & Communicator in charity, church, business, ‘the arts’ and education sectors. Chriscelle runs her eponymous online silver jewellery business, mainly on Etsy.
Mal also fits in working as an LTA qualified Tennis Coach 1 evening a week!
Relaxation is most around family & good food; and a daily dose of coffee & chocolate, with candles & a fire in the background (& then going to the gym to work it all off 🙂).
